We have many visitors to ‘Maydale Reserve’ and these include people transporting horses. (Follow our Facebook page for opening times, during this period).

We have 5 major events each year – 150km Feast last weekend in February, Wimmera Merino Sheep Show last Sunday in March, SMOKE on the Water Sunday, June long weekend, Horsham Show last Sunday of September and Horsham Horse Show the middle Sunday of October.
CASUAL bookings for horse stables and camping is available for short stopovers for transporters of livestock/horses.

FACILITY FEE If you are meeting a horse specialist at the Maydale Reserve (this is private land owned by the Horsham Ag Society) or travelling with horses and need a break between long distance driving, you are welcome to use our facilities to water and exercise your ponies. We also have a straw pit if you need to clean out your float. To ensure this service can continue we have a facility fee of $10.00 and it’s payable prior to arriving (out of hours) or pop into the office Tuesday – Thursday between 10am – 5.30pm). Please phone ahead if your arrival is out of office hours so we can provide you the access code to the grounds and toilet.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The Horsham Ag Society is the organising body which hosts the Grand Annual Horsham Agricultural Show, the 150km Feast, SMOKE on the Water, the Wimmera Autumn Merino Sheep Show and the Horsham Horse Show. The Society has owned the Maydale Reserve since 1915. Members of our committee are also members of the Horsham Showgrounds Committee of Management, who look after the other half of the Horsham Showgrounds but not including the Horsham Greyhound Club, grandstand and greyhound track.
A fully functioning workshop hosts an array of casual staff, volunteers and job seekers, engaged through a variety of employment programs to give people opportunity to upskill and prepare for permanent employment.
